Our Story So Far…

Margaret and Chen have been dedicated to the health and well-being of the communities of the Northern Rivers for over 16 years. During this time they have seen their own family grow, as well of those of their patients. Both Margaret and Chen have continued to learn new techniques and further broaden their knowledge of health and well-being. Chiropractic continues to be their passion, and they have traveled the world to bring you the latest and most up to date information, resources and techniques for optimal health.

Dr Margaret Tay (Chiropractor)

Margaret graduated from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 2001, after a five year double degree including a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Clinical Science in Chiropractic. Prior to graduation, Margaret did her final year internship in Bali, Indonesia..
Margaret and her husband Chen, took over Discover Chiropractic Byron Bay in December 2001, followed with Discover Chiropractic Ballina in April 2002.
Margaret has a particular interest in spinal rehabilitation, using the technique Chiropractic Biophysics (CBP).  Other techniques that have been studied include Sacro Occipital Technique, Gonstead technique, Diversified and Cranial adjusting.
In her spare time Margaret loves to surf and is often spotted in the waves of The Pass by her patients. She is also passionate about a wholistic lifestyle, including being an avid gardener, producing as much of the families fruit and vegetables on a suburban block as possible.

Dr Chen Tay (Chiropractor)

Chen graduated from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology in 2001, after a five year double degree including a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Clinical Science in Chiropractic.
Chen has uses a variety techniques including Sacro Occipital Technique, Activator Methods, Gonstead technique, Diversified and Cranial adjusting. Chen is a member of the Chiropractor Association of Australia and an Associate Member of the Australasian College of Chiropractors.

Margaret and Chen Tay have three Children, Elijah (12) and Bayden (10) and Gabriel (14 months). Chen was born in Cambodia, and has lived in Melbourne most of his life. Margaret lived on the Sunshine Coast all her life, until moving to Melbourne to study Chiropractic. Chen and Margaret met while studying Chiropractic at RMIT. Following graduation, Margaret and Chen moved to the Northern Rivers to take over Discover Chiropractic Ballina and Byron Bay.

We will help save lives and share the chiropractic message with family, friends and all others who wish to learn and grow with us.

We will change any objectives or goals that no longer meet these requirements to ones that do. We understand this is a never ending process.
